Certified Dental Assistant – Sheela Sheela was born in Toronto and raised in North Vancouver. Her love for dentistry began early on. Sheela volunteered as a chairside assistant when she was in grade 11 and didn't waste any time after high school to get certified. She flew through school and received her CDA diploma in 2007. Sheela didn't hesitate when she had the opportunity to join Dr. Seddon's team in February of 2011 and is absolutely loving it! We can always count on her to bring cheer and happiness to the office. Sheela is extremely thoughtful and cares deeply for all of her patients. She continues to expand her knowledge and training by attending several dental conferences every year. In her time away from work, Sheela is an amazing cook and an even better Aunt. She loves being active and does so in a variety of ways. Don't be surprised if you see her and her husband, walking the seawall, playing tennis, or swimming in a local pool. |

Monika brings so much diversity to the team with a wealth of life experiences and languages! Born in North Vancouver and raised speaking English and German, Monika moved to Brazil for four years in Belo Horizonte where she learned Portuguese. She then moved to Quito, Ecuador and subsequently learned Spanish. After graduating in an American accredited high school in the Honours program, she returned to Vancouver where she attended VCC and started on her path in the dental world. After spending 10 years as a Certified Dental Assistant, Monika headed back to VCC for Dental Hygiene and following graduation, she became an active member of the North Shore Dental Hygiene Study Club. In addition to working at Dundarave Dental Clinic, Monika also works with Dr. Chris Long in Periodontics. Monika has expanded her horizons, by earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Science from UBC last year. Monika has fulfilled one of her lifetime goals by giving back to society. She has gone back to South America as a member of a team of dental volunteers, delivering dentistry to a population whose access is extremely challenged. Monika likes to hike and walk her dog. She loves animals and traveling. Photography often occupies her evenings and sometimes needlework, specifically cross stitch, in which she has won first prizes in various competitions. Her five children fill in all the rest of the voids in her day!

Born and raised in Fernie BC , Chris came to West Vancouver at the age of 13 and has lived on the North Shore ever since.
